Kenya Coast Beach Hotels - 3 Good Diani Kenya White Beach Hotels

Leopard Beach Hotel-Kenyan beach hotel with best bar

This Kenya beach hotel was built in 1974 and combines modern lines with African high thatch architecture. Its rooms and suites are at the top of a rocky cliff with public areas at different levels leading down to the beach.
The small beach has interesting rock formation and tall palms. You need shoes to protect your feet from the coral bottom when swimming.

A unique feature at this hotel is that you only see one level at a time; it is large but seems small and intimate. The pool is lower down on the cliff, built into a terrace which juts out with good views of the small bay. A disco is also cut into the cliff Rock gardens and lily ponds combine cool color with beckoning corners and nooks.

The cuisine is billed as international with Italian flavors. Meals are taken in a very large dining area where some tables overlook the sea.

Standard rooms are very tired. The reason for choosing this hotel would be to stay in one of the very reasonably priced, beautifully located, and commodious suites. Wonderful choices are master suites # 1 and 7 (especially #7), each with private sitting area and terrace with magnificent sea view and private garden (can rent with master bedroom only, or with additional double bedroom)

Other good choices are Jr. Suites #15, 16 &18 which share a sitting area and terrace. Cottage #19/20 (two double rooms connecting) is also a good possibility. These all have minibar, TV in English, Italian and German, and excellent private bathrooms (with bidet) for each bedroom.

Two Fishes beach hotel-The Kenya family beach hotel

The most remarkable feature of this large beach hotel is the unusual swimming pool meandering through the lounge area and out into the grounds. There are bridges over the narrow channels of water and a slide leading to a lower pool. A few large painted plaster animal figures are scattered in the gardens. The hotel seems popular with children and has a low-key, informal atmosphere. The main lobby and lounge area look dated with furnishings in orange and brown, and amateur murals on the walls.

The 199 rooms are located in three story thatched buildings. Some rooms are close to the beach and have ocean views.

Diani Reef Grand Hotel- The Kenya coast hotel with wide restaurants choices

This Kenya beach hotel was built in 1981, and it is huge! It is a rambling complex of 300 rooms, seven restaurants and many lounges and public rooms. There are two swimming pools, a romantic lagoon with pedal boats, and a beach front terrace where there is dancing every night under the stars. There is also a disco, a casino, a shopping arcade, a children’s playground, a gymnasium, video room, beauty shop and a conference hall for 300.

The beach area is wide and very pleasant. Breakfast is served buffet style in a room floating on the garden lagoon with ocean views. There are tropical flowers, rock gardens and the familiar but beautiful tall swaying palms.

With a choice of seven restaurants, you can select among French, Italian, and Polynesian, Middle Eastern, African, Indian Ocean and international cuisine. There are also two floodlit tennis courts, air-conditioned squash courts, archery range, bocce, and a fitness track.
